Google Nest Hub Max Smart Screen

A device for controlling a "smart" home from a popular company, which in passive mode looks like an electronic clock or a modern photo frame. The main control method is voice commands.

Google's Nest Hub Max combines a smart display and next-generation smart speaker system.

Main characteristics:

  • Stereo speakers - 3 pieces (2 front speakers and 1 woofer).
  • 10-inch LED display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels.
  • 6.5 megapixel webcam.
  • Recognition of each user when he calls the voice assistant.
  • Ability to control other smart home devices.
  • Light sensor EQ.
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.
  • Long-range microphone.

The device is convenient to use for lovers of voice commands, but the interface of the screen itself leaves much to be desired. To many, it will seem too confusing and complicated.

Amazon Echo Show 10 Smart Screen

The Echo Show 10 screen is an updated version of the smart device from Amazon, with enhanced functionality. The main feature of the display is its ability to "follow" the user, thanks to the technology of computer vision and echolocation. The "machine" never loses sight of the user, due to which it is convenient to use it for video calls and conferences.

A person will never remain outside the screen, because he turns to the owner automatically. The follow-up system is activated immediately after the call to the voice assistant, and can be turned off at any time. The main interaction with the gadget takes place through voice, since the technology does not recognize or remember the owner's face.

Other characteristics:

  • The display size is 10 inches.
  • Resolution - HD.
  • Processor - Amazon AZ1.
  • Automatic and mechanical rotation function.
  • The "smart" novelty will be on sale this fall.

Monitor parameters:

Diagonal - 23 inches.

The resolution is 1920 x 1080.

Monitor type - IPS.

Neon lights.

Audio system - 2 speakers for 2 watts.

Processor - NVIDIA Tegra 3 (4-core).

The amount of RAM and storage is 2 and 8 GB, respectively.

The model copes well with its main tasks, except for its not the most recent operating system. So, Philips S231C operates on a rather ancient version of Android 4.2.2, which obviously no longer shines any updates.

Lenovo Smart Display 7

An excellent home assistant that fits perfectly into any interior. In terms of functionality, the model practically does not differ from its competitor from Google.

Gadget parameters:

  • IPS display - 7 inches.
  • Resolution - 1024x600 pixels.
  • Light sensor.
  • Good visibility from any angle thanks to the mirrored screen.
  • Chipset - MediaTek 8176S, clocked at 1.5GHz.
  • Operating system - Android.
  • High quality front panel microphones for voice recognition even in noisy environments.
  • Stereo system - 2 speakers for 5 watts.
  • Webcams for video chats.

Lenovo Smart Display 7 is easy to set up thanks to its intuitive interface. The gadget perfectly syncs with other smart devices in the house.

ViewSonic VSD220

The device looks similar to a monoblock computer, being able to be held in an upright position due to a plastic footrest with a variable angle. But in terms of functionality, it is closer to a large-sized tablet than a full-fledged PC.

Technical specifications:

  • 1.2MP webcam on the top surface.
  • Connectors: USB (2pcs), micro-USB, micro-HDMI, microSD and a port for connecting an Internet cable.
  • Processor - 2-core TI OMAP 4430 with a frequency of 1 GHz.
  • The internal memory is 8 GB.
  • Operating system - Android 4.0.4.
  • Monitor - 22 inches with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The combination of an old OS with a rather mediocre processor leads to some delays in the display. And this is especially noticeable when you enable and configure it. However, for controlling other smart home devices and some basic tasks, the capabilities of ViewSonic VSD220 are more than enough.

It is difficult to surprise with "smart" gadgets today. "Work" stations at home have become something familiar. And if all this time "smart" speakers were especially popular, then very soon users will be able to appreciate the newfangled displays with electronic "intelligence".
